HOW TO SEARCH A SONG USING IPHONE MUSIC RECOGNITION FEATURE

People who listen to music a lot and are always ready to find new songs, Apple has bought a new and helpful feature for them. Users using iOS and iPadOS can take advantage of the new Music Recognition feature simply by asking Siri. Indeed, a third-party app also exists that allows users to find unknown songs quickly just by playing. That useful app is Shazam, and it can recognize the song just by hearing the lyrics or rhythm.

Shazam has been available on the App Store for a long time, but Apple owned it in 2018 for good. Before owning Shazam, it was totally up to Siri to find the song by hearing, but now if you ask Siri to find a song, it will do it through Shazam. Shazam’s song recognition feature is ultimate, and no other app can compete it for now. So, if you’re interested, here’s how you can find great unknown songs.

How to Recognize an Unknown Playing Song through Music Recognition

To access this feature, make sure your iPad or iPhone is running or iOS 14.2/iPad 14.2 or above. You can use the Music Recognition feature from Control Center, but you have to add it to Control Center first.

  • Open Settings.

  • Move into the Control Center section to add some shortcuts to access.

  • Under the Control Center, you’ll find several already added shortcuts.

  • Slide down, and under the More Controls section, tap + icon on Music Recognition.

  • Now Music Recognition will be added to the Control Center tab.

  • Now directly slide up from the bottom to open the Control Center.

  • Tap the Music Recognition or Shazam icon to start identifying songs.

  • Tap the Shazam icon and wait for a few seconds.

  • The song you’re searching for its name will appear at the top of the screen.

So this is everything you must do to search for a good unknown song. Great thing about here for users is that now they don’t have to download the Shazam app. Its feature or service is pre-installed, and you can take advantage of it to find songs quickly.

Shazam is enabled to find songs for you in seconds, and you can add them to Apple Music or Spotify if you like that song. The built-in service of Shazam is available on iOS 14.2 or above, but anyone using a lower iOS version has to download the app from the App Store.

You’ll see a big Shazam icon on the Shazam app that will start hearing the rhythm or song lyrics once you tap it. Right now, Shazam is the best music finding app you can have, and probably Apple will bring more updates for this app to make it more useful and user-friendly.

Conclusion

Finding Songs is not everything Shazam app does. Users can hear the song they have searched for, but users have to add it to a playlist of Apple Music or Spotify app to keep it safe. Before, there was no Spotify account connect option available on Shazam, but now users can connect the Shazam Spotify account together and add songs to Spotify after finding one.
